Stuff I’m Loving
(5 things I can’t get enough of)
1). This book:
“The children and nature movement is fueled by this fundamental idea: the child in nature is an endangered species, and the health of children and the health of the Earth are inseparable.” —Richard Louv
I’m a big believer in the healing power of nature. This book pretty much confirms what I believe about what children need to develop creativity.
2). This poster:
This graphic shows how the various parts of our lives work together, and gives examples of things we can do to take care of ourselves. It’s available here (for free!): Self-Care Wheel
3). This Art Supply:
Water-soluble crayons are easier to use and more portable than traditional watercolors. Perfect for art journaling on the go.
4). This product:
I spray this stuff in my office and studio, on my yoga mat, and on my sheets. It signals my brain that it’s time to shift into relaxation mode.
5). This Place
Located in Saluda, it’s chock-full of art goodies, funky clothes, jewelry, books, and supplies. Not to mention fun workshops taught by popular artists. It’s a mixed-media lover’s paradise, and I leave already excited about my next visit, and inspired to play. Check them out here.
That’s all for this week. What have you been into lately?
